Dancing in The Sun: A Daffodil Watercolor Collection

Dancing in The Sun: A Daffodil Watercolor Collection My three-year-old son and his little three-year-old girlfriend made a decision one afternoon and did not consult anyone about it. They gathered a handful of jonquils from our yard — bright, sunny, freshly picked with the particular confidence of people who have not yet learned to ask permission — and walked themselves right next door to give them to my aunt for her kitchen. By the time I realized they were gone, my heart was already halfway to panic. Then my phone rang. It was my aunt, laughing. Guess who came for a visit, she said. I could not get mad about that. Not even a little. Daffodils have always done that to me — the particular yellow that refuses to be ignored, the first flowers brave enough to push through the last of the cold soil. This collection moves through four ways of seeing the same flower: a close-up study, a loose abundant garden scene, two daffodils facing the same direction like old friends, and a whimsical lineup that belongs in a kitchen.

📓 JOURNAL PROMPT FROM THIS EPISODE: What unexpected gesture from a child or spontaneous moment of kindness has brought the most sunshine to my life? Write the full answer. Include what the flowers looked like. Include what your aunt said when she answered the door. Include the particular pride on two small faces that had done exactly the right thing and knew it. Those moments are the whole garden. Write them down before they fade. If this brought you a little sunshine, subscribe to join our community of slow, intentional storytelling. #DaffodilArt #WatercolorPainting #SlowLiving #SpringFlowers #OriginalWatercolor #IntentionalLiving #JournalPrompt #Cottagecore #FlowerPainting #NatureArt #MultimediaEssay #SlowStorytelling #ArtistsOfYoutube #FamilyMoments #watercolorflowers
